An update is now available to overcome this issue. This will roll out to all customers automatically over the coming days. However, if you require this more urgently, please contact our support desk.
We are aware that some users may be experiencing some deliverability issues on bulk mails sent from OpenCRM to Yahoo accounts (this also includes aol, sky and other subsidiary accounts using Yahoo mail as their provider).
Yahoo have, without notice, started to enforce new rules on frequent bulk mailers causing some emails not to be accepted. There is now a requirement for all emails to have an unsubscribe header added to the email.
We are working on some changes to implement this and will be rolling these out soon. No changes will be needed to your emails or email templates so long as they already include an OpenCRM unsubscribe link, this header will be added automatically.
For information, the following is also required by Yahoo mail for email deliverability. SPF and DKIM can already be configured within your OpenCRM system. DMARC is something you need to setup at your domain level.
Valid SPF record on your domain DKIM-signed email where “From:” domain is aligned with the DKIM domain Valid DMARC records – currently it’s acceptable to have ‘p=none’ – but that is almost certain to change, and it would be a good idea to configure them correctly. One-click unsubscribe “List-Unsubscribe” header (RFC8058) is now required – ‘mailto:’ mechanism is acceptable currently, but ideally should use the POST mechanism to a HTTP URL. Again it would be good to use the POST mechanism if it is available. Spam Reporting level of <0.3%. Senders will NEED to sign up for the Yahoo Complaint Feedback Loop for their domain in order to monitor this.
